Bake It Pretty

My good buddy Amanda, purveyor of adorable miniatures (and former 7 Cities Crafters member), has opened her own online store! Bake It Pretty.com is a veritable treasure trove of vintage-inspired miniatures, baking supplies, packaging and unique novelties.

This indie business began in 2006 as A. Bel Emporium, a hugely successful Etsy shop. She now offers the same fare as that shop plus much more. She has worked long and hard to find adorable supplies for the baker at fair prices, and everything in her shop will be wrapped up for you at her home in Asheville, North Carolina.

This past weekend I did some hardcore planning for holiday gift-making (by the way, are you taking the handmade pledge this holiday season?) and I happily placed an order for some adorable hand-stamped tags and cookie boxes to house hand-baked gifts for the holidays, which are my favorite things to give. I do hope you’ll make a little trip over to Amanda’s shop and order a few things to pretty up your homemade treats, or some great stocking stuffers! A few of my favorites:

1. Bavarian Rose Cups - $4.25 for 75
2. Petite Rainbow Quins - $3.75 for 4 oz.
3. Magical Forest Cookie Cutter Set - $12 for a set of 6
4. Bubble Gum Cigarettes - $1.75 for 3 packs
5. Tiny Treat Bakery Boxes - $4.75 or $5.75 (pink) for set of 6
6. Stylish Mustaches - $6.25

So, what are you making for holiday gifting purposes?

Crafty Link Dump!

How to sew a lining for a crocheted bag. I have a feeling this will come in handy after our Learn to Crochet workshop in a few weeks!

Check out this super easy ironing board cover tutorial! I am totally making one with these vintage curtains I found at a yard sale.
